Wheat Ridge Yoga Programs
Yoga is offered at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, Anderson Building, and Active Adult Center. For information on classes and registration, visit Recreation Activities Guides. Various yoga classes are offered, such as:

Flex and Flow Yoga
Ages: 18 and up
Overview: Experience a flowing yoga with both standing and mat work, while concentrating on breathing, balance, alignment, strength, flexibility, relaxation, and meditation.

Yoga
Ages: 12 and up
Overview: Learn proper posture and breathing with fundamental yoga postures that will build balance, strength, and flexibility.

Power Yoga
Ages: 12 and up
Overview: A vigorous, flowing yoga class designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance and core strength.

Intermediate Yoga

Ages: 16 and up
Overview: Get in shape as you stretch, strengthen, and tone in this intermediate class. If you've done some yoga before, join us for a fun and challenging workout that combines breathing and relaxation exercises with flowing Yoga poses.

Evening Yoga
Ages: 16 and up
Overview: Learn how to breathe deeply, reduce stress, gain flexibility, and improve your circulation and muscle tone. Please come to class with an empty stomach, open mind, and bare feet.

Easy Yoga Plus
Ages: 50 and up
Overview: Relax and revitalize with this class. Practice gentle and slow moving yoga-based stretches, breathing, and relaxation techniques. These activities help loosen up stiff joints, improve flexibility, and strengthen your core muscles. This class includes mat work, resistance bands, and light weights.

SilverSneakers® Yoga
Ages: 50 and up
Overview: SilverSneakers® Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of poses designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Gentle Yoga
Ages: 12 and up
Overview: Learn proper posture and breathing with fundamental yoga postures that will build balance, strength, and flexibility in a gentle form.
