About the Colorado Enterprise Zone Program
This program is intended to assist with revitalization efforts in blighted areas throughout the state. Companies located within an established state Enterprise Zone are eligible for various state income tax credits.
3% investment tax credit for capital expenditures up to $750,000
Statewide exemption from state sales and use tax for purchases of manufacturing equipment, tool, and materials used in construction
$1,100 per new employee tax credit for increasing total employment.
$1,000 per new employee credit for offering an employee health insurance plan.
12% credit for qualified employer job training.
3% credit for increases in qualified expenditures for research and development.
25% for renovating old and vacant real estate.
1.5% of Commercial Vehicle Investment Tax Credit for purchase of new vehicle.
Expanded Sales and Use tax exemption within the zone.
25% cash and 12/5% in-kind on contributions to enterprise zone projects.
Jefferson County has one of the sixteen state-designated Enterprise Zones. Jefferson Economic Council (JEC) staff administers the program for Jefferson County.
