Safe Greenbelt Project

Wheat Ridge Safe Greenbelt Project

In an effort to make visiting the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt a more enjoyable experience for all visitors, the Wheat Ridge Police Department has a new program called the Safe Greenbelt Project. The goal of this program is to take a proactive approach to reducing criminal activity in our City greenbelt, and to work with the community to gather information about suspicious activity, as well as solicit any input patrons may have on how to make our parks and greenbelt more enjoyable or safe.

The local greenbelt and trailheads are a continual focus of increased proactive patrol by the Police Department. Greenbelt patrons are also asked to contact the Police Department's Communication Center at 303-237-2220 or 911 anytime suspicious or criminal activity is seen occurring in the greenbelt. To make suggestions or report an issue please contact Sergeant Brian Wilkinson, Crime Prevention Sergeant or call him at (303) 235-2951.
